ALEXIS TAYLOR is a musician, producer, DJ and songwriter from London, a co-founder of Grammy-nominated pop group HOT CHIP, and member of improvised/non-improvised music project ABOUT GROUP.

He released his first solo album, RUBBED OUT, on Treader in 2008, and his most recent solo release was the EP NAYIM FROM THE HALFWAY LINE, on Domino. Alexis has also collaborated with visual artists Oliver Payne and Nick Relph for their Musical Food film for Frieze Art Fair, and with German producer Justus Kohncke in the duo Fainting By Numbers.

His star-sign is most often Aries, but sometimes Taurus, depending on which horoscope you read. Based on this confusion, Alexis chooses not to read any. His favourite singers are Prince and Alex Chilton.
